Cutest Family Ever

Taylor was on leave from Iraq, so we scheduled a quick session in between all of their fun activities while he was here. It was his first time meeting his sweet baby girl because she was born a few weeks after he left. I am so glad he is home for good and reunited with his sweet little family of girls!

This week's challenge at I HEART FACES is "A Slice of Life." As a firefighter's wife, you never want to see this vehicle pulling up to your house, but these are the realities of the job. And this may not be the "slice of life" that people would think about but unfortunately sometimes these slices need to be included too. I see strength when I look at her and I pray for her everyday for the trials she will face after the death of her amazing husband. I know he is looking down on us and smiling. When I first photographed her she was the happiest, chubbiest 6 month old ever!

I felt bad for her sometimes with the way Kenley would maul her to death:)

Luckily for Kenley she will have a new sister soon to love and adore/maul!

She made my job so easy and she still does!

She still has her phenomenal BLUE eyes!

He is such a sweet, handsome little guy! He recently changed his favorite color from PURPLE to ORANGE which may not seem like a huge deal to most people but it was quite shocking to me. You see, a little over a year ago my little girl was at a nursery activity thing with him and someone was picking on her. Parker really wanted to get involved but an older girl was wearing a purple shirt which mesmerized him and so no words came out of his mouth. LOL:)

I love this one, it shows his true personality.

Bribery works EVERY time!

Jana has trained her kids so well, people should take lessons from her! HA HA. She told her kids if they smiled we would take them out for frosty's and they did GREAT! This session was 30 minute tops and I think we got some precious images! I especially love the pictures of the kids with their Daddy. I am a sucker for those EVERY TIME!

PS- Kenley wanted me to tell you that she hopes you have a girl because boys are wild! But either way she will love the baby:)

You probably recognize Chase from all of his previous sessions. He FINALLY brought his parents along for a shoot! This little guy had a fever of 103 (which we didn't know at the time, but found out later that evening) However, you would have never known it by looking at these pictures. His dad was a trooper, he did not want to wear the shirt Shani picked out for him and that's putting it in nice words, but he did it anyway. When he saw the pictures, he actually admitted that it looked good. Shani really wanted casual pictures and I think we achieved her goal. I love candid, intimate shots like these.

My favorite family

Words can't begin to describe the love I feel for this amazing family. Marcie is like a sister to me and her cute little daughter is like a sister to my sweet Kenley. When I think about what this family has been through, my eyes fill up with tears. But even more amazing than their trials they have faced is how they have faced them. I wish everyone could have friends as wonderful as this family. I am so blessed to have them in our lives and are so grateful for the miracles they have been given. Love you guys! I HEART FACES - VROOM, VROOM!

This week's challenge at I heart faces was a fun one for me. I had the opportunity to go up to Primary Children's Hospital with my husband and his fellow co-workers to visit with the kids and just have a day of fun! (Don't worry I did get permission from this little guy's Mommy to use his picture:) My heart goes out to these families that have to park their trailers in the parking lot and basically live at the hospital. It makes me even more grateful for my healthy little girl.

My baby started pre-school this week!

I wasn't sure how she would react to her first day, because the orientation was a bit nightmare-ish! She wouldn't let go of my hand the ENTIRE time and refused to play with any of the kids. However, she surprised her Mommy and waltzed right over to her teacher and since she was the first one there, was able to be the line leader. I wish I would have gotten a picture of that, she was thrilled! I was a little worried that she wouldn't make any friends because she can be so shy sometimes, but that was not the problem. Unfortunately she made too good of friends with one of her classmates because they traded backpacks (the SAME EXACT backpack) and now I am frantically trying to track hers down and praying in the meantime that she doesn't have an asthma attack while her inhaler is at Emily's house. The joy's of school, right?!

I just love these kids! They are the sweetest kids ever! They must get it from their AMAZING parents:) I just love the first picture, it's as if they are saying, " Lady, Enough Pictures, you aren't going to get us to smile, so just stop while you are ahead!" Usually P has a hard time cooperating, but today he just sat down and hammed it up the WHOLE time. He was practicing his smiles on the way over and kept telling his Mom that if he did a good job, I would put him on my blog and she would put him on hers! Well, he did a GREAT job and will be on both blogs! M had a harder time, but I think we were just spoiled with her 6 month pics where she just sat wherever we put her and smiled away. Chase is a little Man Now!

It is amazing how fast these little guys grow! One year pictures are always the hardest on the Mom's because their babies are becoming kids. Chase is definitely losing his baby look and becoming a handsome little boy. Stay tuned for more from this session as well as many others I am working on. I have been out of commission for the past few weeks due to my surgery... and I have to schedule my next one on Monday so hopefully I can get all of my recent sessions up on the blog before the next surgery. Today I had the opportunity to shoot 5 girls, six and under!!! Yes, you read that correctly:) They were absolutely darling, but also very challenging! Enjoy your preview! I can't wait to finish the rest.

We scheduled another session because our first one didn't turn out as well as I would have hoped. Unfortunately he wasn't loving me this time either. One day I do hope we will be able to capture this little guy's sweet smile!

My baby

I love this little girl more than words can express, she brings more joy to my life than I ever thought a child could. We are so blessed!

I love the friendship these two share. I really hope they don't mind that we are planning their wedding for them:) Can you imagine this as their engagement photo?!?!
